We, at HomeStay Home care, are excited at the announcement of this grant and effort the state is putting forth to revamp the current system. We believe this continued effort will increase the quality and experience of both our clients and the staff. Indiana Seniors and adults with disabilities are deserving of this effort. As well as the direct service workers who are crucial to the successful implementation of the services.
Upon receipt of the grant funds, HomeStay Attests the intentions of distributing the funds as followed:
Of 95%

Hourly wage increases

Performance bonuses

Bonuses (distributed with a plan that coincides with the date in which the round of funding should be dispersed)

Payroll taxes.

Continued Education including but not limited to, CNA Classes, CPR classes and renewals

Onboarding cost reimbursements: Background checks, CPR, TB tests, Uniforms

Sign on bonuses, referral program

Transportation including but not limited to: Car repairs, gas cards, and uber/lyft/ public transportation cards

Phone Stipend: for employees who use their personal devices for EVV

Electronics: for employees who do not wish to use their personal devices

Shift differentials for rural clients and shift hours, on-call opportunities

Considering that the actual dollar amount the agency will receive has not been determined/disclosed, it is possible that the percentages may differ per category. However, we attest that all the funds will be spent in accordance with the requirements set by FSSA HCBS.
